JACKSON, Tenn. (May 28, 2026) – Leaders Education Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, awarded $10,000 through its Workforce Readiness Scholarships, presented by Dixie®. The Foundation allocates these scholarships three times per year, donating approximately $30,000 annually.
“Our partnership with Dixie continues to create meaningful opportunities for students across West Tennessee,” said Leigh Anne Bentley, President of the Leaders Education Foundation. “Because of their investment, we’ve been able to continue our workforce-focused scholarships and provide the financial support to students pursuing career pathways right here in our region.”
Each year, Leaders Education Foundation awards workforce-readiness scholarships to 30 students. This program provides up to $1,000 to individuals pursuing workforce-readiness programs or industry certifications at community colleges and technical schools across West Tennessee. The most recent cohort of recipients, recognized in May 2026, represents a variety of institutions and programs in the region.
The application period for scholarships opens annually in April, July, and December. Applicants must be members of the Foundation to be eligible for consideration. Membership is a one-time $10 fee. Scholarship funds can be used for books, materials, supplies, testing fees, tuition, or other related costs associated with their program.
